History
Jupiter
Transport Services is a third party logistics
services company.
Founded in 1980, Jupiter provides
transport services within the continental United
States, Canada, and Mexico, specializing in, but not
limited to, the transport of recyclable materials in
dry-vans, flatbeds, and dumps. Jupiter also
provides storage and warehousing services for the
recycling industry. Currently, Jupiter Transport
Services has thirteen full time employees. In 2006,
Jupiter Transport Services had sales revenues that
topped $6 million.
Mr.
Bruce R. O’Neill is founder and President of Jupiter
Transport Services. He started his career in
transportation as a driver in the city of Chicago in
1968. He drove over the road for Coca-Cola, and
then became the owner of his own small fleet. Mr.
O’Neill then took a position with a private fleet in
the fiberglass manufacturing industry. He then
became the operations manager and converted the
private fleet to a contract carriage. After
deregulation in 1980, Mr. O’Neill founded Jupiter
Transport Services. With over 39 years of
transportation experience, Mr. O’Neill has brought a
wealth of knowledge and understanding to his
transport company.
Mr. O’Neill is
actively involved in several industry groups.
Currently, he is serving on the steering committee
for the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA),
and is an active member of the Institute of Scrap
Recycling Industries (ISRI), and the National
Association of Small Trucking Companies (NASTC),
listed “Best of the Best”.
